Even though he has no idea why he needs to come there, he agrees with his uncle's plan and heads off with him.This film starts off with Hellboy returning home after about 11 years. He is greeted by his adoptive father, Professor Broom, who is quite happy to see him again. Then he skips around the house for a while until he finds Liz Sherman waking up in the shower. He gives her a penguin with her own name on it and watches her get dressed. The film illustrates how Hellboy was raised by Professor Broom, an archeology professor with ties to the British government. Hellboy lives in a very large mansion called "Broom's house", located in the town of Newfane, Vermont with Broom and two secret service agents named Manning and Jackson. Throughout his childhood and teenage years, he and Professor Broom spend most of their time exploring the mansion's many rooms, playing games and just generally making mischief.Things start to change for Hellboy when he is sent off to live with his uncle, Professor Broom. Broom is a professor at a university in England as well as an amateur archeologist. He has been searching for an ancient book called The Black Diamond that has been hidden away all those years by his brother, who became one of the world's most powerful super-villains known as The King of Fear. Broom believes that discovering this book will allow him to prove that life existed on Earth much earlier than the accepted date (currently 4 billion years old. Broom's search has been going on for a long time, until now, because he hasn't been able to find the book. In the end, the film ends with a cliffhanger that shows a glowing orb closing in on Hellboy and it looks as if something is about to happen.
